Optima IT was founded in 2001 by the two current directors Neeraj Shah (Nick) and Satyan Shah (Sat).
While the whole world was still in shock with the global dot com crash, Nick and Sat identified a niche gap in the small business IT support workspace in London. They identified that most IT companies were geared towards mid-size and large companies, and so set up IT Support company supporting the smaller businesses. Initially working from a home-based setup, the company grew gracefully and swiftly and within one year, the directors were hunting desperately for a commercial location with more space and easy access for clients. A commercial space in Sussex Ring, North Finchley was identified and soon turned into an IT office for Optima IT. Branded as ‘crazy people’ by friends and family for starting a business in the midst of an IT crash, they went head-first into setting up the new business and have not looked back ever since.
As the number of clients grew year on year, so did the number of technical employees. The company, therefore, evolved from a 2-member company to a 12-employee team in 2021, even growing during the global pandemic in 2019-2020.
